Support and Donate
Grow Tavor | Stay Tavor
Tavor alumni and friends are the core of Camp Tavor support. Donations to Habonim-Dror Camp Tavor help sustain our innovative and enriching youth leadership programming and your gifts are critical to maintaining the accessibility of our transformative summer programming through our scholarship fund. Generous and consistent support from our Tavor/Habonim Dror community also helps our efforts to cultivate support from national Jewish foundations. You can help to ensure that Camp Tavor’s innovative and transformative youth leadership programs remains accessible to future generations of Jewish leaders.

Countless Tavor Alumni tell us that their summers at Camp Tavor continue to play an enormous role in their personal and professional values and goals. Consider returning the favor and leaving a legacy with Camp Tavor, just as summers at Camp Tavor have made a lifelong impact with you and your children.
A legacy gift – including Habonim Dror Camp Tavor in your estate planning – is a wonderful way to support future generations of Tavor campers. A legacy gift will help ensure that Tavor can continue to help to cultivate the value-driven leadership that the world so desperately needs.
During our first year of actively asking friends to include camp in their estate plans, the Tavor community offered 25 Legacy Commitments. To join this growing group of generous Tavornicks, please contact Sarah Okin at (734)-707-3225 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Alumni Work Weekends
In past years, Tavor alumni have organized reunion work weekends to share their time, creativity and skills with future generations of Tavor campers. In 2016, Tavor alumni gathered together to raise funds and then build an incredible yurt in the Chotrimot Shetach. If you would like to plan a Tavor alumni work weekend, we’d love to hear your ideas and work with you to make our idea a reality! For one of our most recent work weekends, a group of 40 Tavor alumni and 12 of their children came together at camp to build a yurt in the chotrimot shetach (living area). Check out the timelapse video below to see their handiwork!
The Habonim Dror Camp Tavor tribute grove was created in 2010 as a way for our community to celebrate and remember family, friends, and those who have made a special contribution to camp. The grove reflects Tavor’s environmental commitments and labor roots by rejuvenating the working fruit orchard on present day camp property. We initiated the grove with the planting of trees in honor of Shelley Goldwater and in memory of Ari Lerman-Sinkoff (z”l). Several Years ago we planted trees in recognition of the Detroit and Chicago Chai Commissions and Ron Sussman. We also planted a tree to honor Lenny Zurakov who served as camp director and camp committee chair. We invite each of you to join us in growing Tavor through supporting the tribute grove. If you’d like to learn more about our grove and how to contribute to this new initiative, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call.
